Cloud Operations Consultant (Azure)

 

Role

Aspira are currently seeking a Cloud Operations Consultant (Azure) for a 6+ months’ contract in Cork or Dublin.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute and support IT Cloud strategy to enable greater agility with fulfilment of infrastructure services
  • Working together with the team’s Cloud Architect, work across multiple projects to migrate the workloads to Azure
  • Support and maintain a Cloud platform that provides the stability, scalability and availability demands of the business through infrastructure lifecycle, improvement and standardisation strategies
  • Administers and supports Cloud and associated network environments
  • Recommends system enhancements, tests, and implements approved technical solutions
  • Configure, monitor availability and performance metrics
  • Conform and adhere to client’s change management process
  • Produce relevant automation and operation artefacts
  • Support Cloud deployments and execution of changes
  • Proactively monitor issues until they are fully resolved, keeping the client informed all the way
  • Recommend and implement changes that improves stability, performance and security of Cloud platform to meet the necessary SLAs
  • Provide input into infrastructure and networking requirements
  • Ability to find effective workarounds to limitations/constraints

 

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Azure implementation
  • Experience in Microsoft, with an Infrastructure/IT Services background
  • Areas of knowledge required include: subscriptions, resource groups, templates, PaaS element (service bus), AD
  • Demonstrable experience in Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud systems configuration management in a complex IT enterprise environment
  • Demonstrable experience, responsible for managing Cloud platform support issues
  • Relevant industry standard Cloud certification
  • Strong ownership and ability to drive issues to resolution working the relevant teams across the organisation, and suppliers
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and analytical skills for incident and problem management as well as stakeholder management
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, common Internet protocols
