Overview:
A project is only successful if individual employees change their daily behaviours and start doing their jobs in the new way. This course provides trainees with a playbook to follow to ensure their colleagues impacted by the change feel supported throughout the entire process. It supports them as they integrate the right tools at the right time to ensure all employees adopt and embrace the new ways of working. Trainees will combine classroom training with applied learning on their return to their work environment.
This 2-day change management course covers the following content:
- Introduction to change management

- Developing change skills and capabilities
- Reinforcing and measuring success
Introduction to change management – trainees will learn the fundamentals behind why investment in change management is key to overall programme success
- Physical change versus people transition
- Role of the Change Manager
- Partnering with the PMO
Role of the leader and programme team – trainees will learn how to work with the leadership and programme teams to
- Bring change concept to life
- Align on business case for change
- Agree team commitments
Engage and involve all employees – trainees will learn how to complete the following activities
- Stakeholder analysis
- Elevator pitch
- Change story communication
- Communication and engagement plan
Develop skills and capabilities – trainees will learn how to deliver a series of bite-size sessions with impacted employees to help them
- Develop team resilience
- Make the behavioural shift
- Transition through change
Reinforce and measure success – trainees will learn how to complete the following activities at key phases during the project lifecycle
- Employee pulse checks and action plans
- Success metrics
- Governance and reporting
There are two categories of people who benefit most from this course:
- Functional Managers, who may have to lead business “part-time” in addition to their real jobs. Many of the CM tools and methods can also apply to line management and deliver real value.
- New or prospective change managers (agents) who are looking to develop new skills. Often have a managerial/ HR background with some experience with people development/ training and facilitation.
- Adopted and sustained business change.
- An engaged, accountable and empowered workforce.
- Highly skilled teams who will champion the need for continuous change.
This training is most effective for new or prospective Change Managers if they can apply their learnings as part of a live project and work in collaboration with the wider programme team.
This course will be delivered virtually in one half-day slot, using industry leading collaborative software. There will be engaging and interactive activities during the session.
