Aspira is delighted to announce that we have been approved by the Project Management Institute as a PMI® ATP (Authorised Training Partner). Earners of the Authorised Training Partner Program badge are authorised by PMI to support the professional development needs of future or current PMI practitioners and stakeholders in their pursuit of PMI Credentials. PMI® ATP status is awarded to only established, high-quality, financially-sound project management education providers who are aligned to PMI core values, have mature business practices, and offer courses aligned to the PMI Talent Triangle®. Aspira was approved as a Registered Education Provider by PMI for PMP training and courses in 2008, and we maintained that registration for the full duration of the REP program until PMI retired the program in late 2020, so becoming a member of the PMI® ATP program was a logical progression.
PMI has had significant changes over the last number of years with the introduction of online proctored testing through Pearson Vue in April 2020. Most significant was the introduction of the new Exam Content Outline (ECO) first released in 2019 which came into effect in reality with the new PMP test format introduced across all exam test centers and online in January 2021.
This updated Exam Content Outline (ECO) 2021 is the most radical change to the exam in more than 20 years. It changes the test domains from the 5 process groups of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing to three completely different domains titled People, Process and Business Environment. About half of the PMP exam will represent predictive project management approaches and the other half will represent agile or hybrid approaches.
Students doing a PMP® Authorised exam preparation course through a PMI® ATP can guarantee they will get the officially recognised PMP® developed course which is officially approved, written and licensed by PMI. Students will now be taught by teachers officially trained by PMI. In recognition, teachers receive an exclusive PMI instructor badge.
